Contemporary Dance Classes
In my Contemporary dance classes, students learn a foundation of dance technique and work together to create pieces. The classes will improve the students’ fitness, balance, musicality and coordination while giving them an opportunity to express themselves through dance.
The dance classes will nurture confidence in a fun and safe environment, by developing movement and giving the participants a chance to create some of their own choreography.
Voice Lessons
I plan my classes beforehand with my student in mind in order to design a class that is optimal in creating the desired vocal effect (Age 8+). We work on elements of the voice that can be improved and work towards achieving a specific style, speech or song - whatever you want! We can work together to develop a desired stylistic quality while maintaining good vocal technique and health.

Voice and Dance Workshops
Singing and dancing are proven to drastically benefit your physical and mental health and working with people from different communities contributes to an important sense of togetherness. Through working on inquiry-based projects with communities and people of completely different skill sets, we are able to merge artistic practices and find new ways to integrate voice and dance with new audiences and performers!

The Somatic and the Social
This is the corresponding voice and dance workshop to 'A Familiar Vessel' research performance.
Alice facilitates a physical exploration of the somatic and the social by challenging the distinctions between the 'inner' and 'outer' aspects of our being. Rooted in voice and dance practices, she invites participants to appreciate the serenity of tuning into their embodied experiences, while poking fun at the absurdities of social behavioural norms. Together, we will explore the entanglements of the social and somatic in all its glorious nonsense!
